MF-9621 Three Component Burnt-
out Paste(MF-65,MF-20,MF-15)
Specification

MF-65 is a strong acid resistant paste developed for the burnt-out process, with good penetration uniformity, low foaming, and easy to destarch. MF-65 shelf life is short, our company can provide paste powder, customers can stir to make MF-65, the production method is: 93.5% (water), 0.65% (paste), with a container to add 93.5% (water), slowly add 0.65% (paste). Disperse and stir for 1-1.5 hours until completely dispersed.

MF-20 is burnt-out powder, suitable for cotton, TC, TR and other blended fabrics, the carbonized cotton fiber produced during baking, by washing to remove the carbides of the cotton fiber, to get transparency effect. MF-20 can also be used as tie-dyeing without rules burnt-out process.

MF-15 is anti-scorch agent and burnt-out auxiliaries that improves the efficiency of washing off carbides.

Recipe Introduction (Please read carefully)
    * The key of burnt-out is penetration and heat treatment.
Permeation is solved by thinning and machine operation; Heat treatment is determined by temperature, time and dosage of auxiliaries, the stability of temperature is particularly important, the fluctuation cannot be too large.
* The dosage of paste determines the thin consistency. Too thick affects permeability, too thin lead to pattern diffuse. According to the room temperature, the dosage of burnt-out paste MF-65 is about 65%
* The dosage of burnt-out auxiliaries MF-15 have impact on baking effect. Dosage too little is easy to blacken, machine is not easy to control, and not easy to clean after blackening; dosage too much will inhibit burnt-out effect, need higher temperature and longer time to baking, even baking does not change color, cause burnt-out unclear

Appropriate adjust dosage of MF-15 according to the baking temperature and time. If the temperature is high and the time is long, shall increase the dosage of MF-15; if the temperature is low and the time is short, shall reduce the dosage of MF-15; the usual dosage is 15%, and the corresponding baking condition is 135ºC* 2-3mins.
* Burnt-out powder releases acid after baking and plays the role of burnt-out. Dosage too little will incompletely, dosage too much will lead to too much acid, not easy to control, easy blacking, usual dosage is 20%
* The dosage of water according to the recipe to adjust, keep the total recipe at 100

Processing technology
* Before printing fabric treatment (hydrophilic treatment)  print burnt-out paste(Number of times with print through as standard)  baking (120 ~ 140 ºC*1-2mins)  water washing
* Temperature: baking temperature is higher, the more difficult to control, the more easy blacking. Generally, it is appropriate to bake at a lower temperature and for a longer time.
 
Influence factor
  1. The construction of the fabric: the more cotton content and the thinner, the       better the effect
  2. The dosage of burnt-out powder: the more the dosage of burnt-out powder, the stronger effect of burnt-out, but if the dosage is excessive, the fabric is easy blacking.
  3. Baking temperature and time: if the baking is not enough, the burnt-out not complete and the effect is non-transparent. If over baking, the fabric will blacking and is difficult to clean. When the printed fabric is heat treated, the burnt-out part first appears light yellow, and then gradually becomes yellow, brown, and until black. It is usually best when the print is yellow and crispy.
  4. Dosage of burnt-out auxiliaries: the less dosage of MF-15, lower baking temperature, but difficult to control; the more dosage, the higher temperature, the longer time of baking , and even the not completely
 
Problem And Solution
  1. After washing, the face is clearer than the back, is not completely!
Reply: The cause is the paste has not penetrated completely. First check the fabric with water to check if have softener, if the water drop roll on the fabric, hydrophilic treatment must be carried out before printing. When no softener is available, operate as below:

Solution: (1) Dilute paste, increase the pressure of the scraper, and increase the number of scraping;
              (2)Move the printing forward, allow the paste have enough time to penetrate before entering oven; add an empty version near the oven and                   press again, so that the paste is further pressed evenly and completely.
Permeation standard: (1) Before going into the oven, the wet pattern can be seen on the face and back of the fabric, and the paste even penetrates                                             the conduction band
                                   (2) After leaving the oven, can feel all patterns on back of fabric
                                   (3) After washing, the pattern on back of the fabric is the same as that on face

2. After baking, fabric blacking and not clean!

Reply:reason: over-heat treatment;

Solution: (1)  Lower the temperature; but the lowest can not be lower than 120ºC; Long time heat treatment at low temperature is better than                             short time heat treatment at high temperature, also easier to control
               (2)Speed up; shorten the time of the fabric in the drying room
               (3)Appropriately increase the dosage of MF-15; Burnt-out auxiliaries MF-15 can inhibit over burning, but the dosage not be too large,                               otherwise   burnt-out will not appear
               (4) When washing with water, appropriately increase the amount of detergent used. The white cloth may need bleaching treatment.

Baking standard: (1) Generally, it is best when the pattern is crisp and hard but not black.
                            (2) According to different color of the fabric, the color when baking is optimal is also different. Usually, optimal color of light color                                         fabric is beige to yellow ,and of dark fabric is green. But must be crisp not black

3. After baking and washing, not see the pattern!

Reply: Reason: (1) Check the fabric is100%polyester or not, whether suitable for burnt-out
                          (2) heat treatment incompletely: temperature is not high enough, acid have not broken down, have not reacted with the cotton 
                          (3) Excessive dosage of auxiliaries: too much auxiliaries have an inhibitory effect, usual dosage is around 15%

Solution: Raise the temperature, prolong time. When the oven temperature does not rise, can appropriately reduce the dosage of auxiliaries

4. The pattern of face and back are basically clear, but have spots in very few places!

Reply: Reason: (1) Check spots whether have rule, to eliminate blocked
                          (2) Have bubbles in the paste, breaks on the fabric and form a blind spot

Solution: (1) Check during blend paste whether have too much bubble; after blend the paste should be given some time defoaming.Therefore, it is                          necessary to mix and filter in advance. Make sure there are no bubbles
               (2) Add an empty near the oven section and press again to promote bubble breakage, so that the paste can further pressure press even                           press through.
 
Risk informing
  1. Check the fabric before printing: Be sure to check the permeability of the fabric, if have softening agent must be treated first. Otherwise, even if it permeate into the back, it will cause spots
  2. Check the permeability during printing operation: Be sure to scrape completely. Scrape once is usually enough for normal fabrics. Stop machine to check when the permeation is not good
  3. Check the speed when baking at high temperature: No matter how large the area of burnt-out can be baked at once. Speed and temperature should be matched well, which are inversely proportional. One-time baking is much less risky than baking repeated, is also better controlled, so speed and efficiency can not be only pursuits.
     4. Check the degree of baking before washing: After washing in water, the problem is basically insolubility, so it must be completely permeated              and moderately baked. Incompletely permeated and under bake will lead to unclean burning, and the problem can not be remedied after                      washing; Over baking will pollute the fabric, light fabric can also be bleached and dyed, dark fabric can not be solved. When problems cannot              be  avoided, baking black is less damaging than not baking well, because baking black can also washing or re-dyeing, and there is no                          way when not baking well.

 

Notice
  1. It is recommended to burnt-out immediately after baking and to wash immediately after baking, to avoid acid diffusion causing permeate edge, so that the outline is not clear. If need to bake after placement, please confirm the placement time according to fabric, and must to do the test first.
  2. Before the processing of burnt-out, it is necessary to confirm that the selected disperse dyes have excellent strong acid resistance by tests
  3. In order to improve the removal efficiency of carbides, can use 1-2g/L soda flakes when washing
  4. MF-20 is a strong acid, corrosive to metal equipment, cement, wood products, must to avoid packaging leakage
  5. Take precautions during operation to prevent the drug from sticking the skin or entering the eye. In case of  touch skin or entering the eyes, immediately wash and treated by doctor
  6. Before use, operator must to carefully read the precautions of the product and MSDS
